Shopping

Those with an artistic streak will enjoy Corrales’ many galleries and shops. At Ambiente (4685 Corrales Rd.) you’ll find Latin American and Mexican primitive art. The Copper Tree Gallery (4514 Corrales Rd.) features Greg Gownas copper work. The Corrales Bosque Gallery (4685 Corrales Rd.) is a co-op, meaning lower prices for you and more profit for the artist. Third Moon Gallery (4583 Corrales Rd) highlights painting and sculpture in an adobe gallery. An active pottery studio as well as retail outlet, Hanselmann Pottery (4908 Corrales Rd.) has been producing pieces since 1970. Track down Mexican goodies with a rustic edge at Mexicana de Corrales (4436 Corrales Rd.). MoonDancer (4484 Corrales Rd.) is part art gallery, part New Age bookstore, part bohemian craft emporium.
Corrales shopping is about more than art. If you are looking for fashion, Bodywise Boutique (4685 Corrales Rd.) might hit the spot with their casual and opulent clothes. Antique collectors can find great jewelry and collectables at Prized Possessions (4534 Corrales Rd.). Corrales is home to the one of the best quilting shops in the country, Quilts Ole (3923 Corrales Rd.). Outfit yourself (or your horse!) at Amigos Tack Shop. (4908 Corrales Rd.)

Also, wine lovers will enjoy a stop at the Corrales Winery (6275 Corrales Rd.). Grapes are grown on site, and the wine is for sale by the bottle or case.

Dining

At The Indigo Crow Café & Brewery (4515 Corrales Rd., 505-898-7000) visiting diners have the chance to sit outside under the cottonwoods during the summer, or inside by the fire on a cold winter’s day.

Housed in a structure that dates back to the early 1700’s, Chef Jim White’s Casa Vieja (4541 Corrales Rd., 505- 898-7498) serves up hearty American and New Mexican cuisine.

Located in the oldest building in Corrales, Perea’s Tijuana Bar and Restaurant (4590 Corrales Rd., 505-898-2442) is built of strips of earth called “terrones” rather than traditional adobe, creating a cool, earthy ambience inside.

For some of the best pizza anywhere, Village Pizza (4266 Corrales Rd., 505-898-0045) stands out as a Corrales, and Albuquerque, favorite. Generous toppings, great beer and wine selection, and the pizza buffet keep customers returning.
