Las Cruces: Shopping & Dining
Las Cruces MainStreet ShoppingShopping
Las Cruces’ MainStreet shopping can be found at the downtown open-air mall. At one end, there is a small complex called La Esquina that is home to these fine shops. M.Phillips Fine Art Gallery (300 N. Main) has a great selection of works, and also has a music studio inside, Studio A-440, where you can catch up on those piano lessons. The Organ Mountain Quilt Shop (300 N. Main) and Unravel (300 N. Main) are both the perfect place to “unravel” your creative fiber arts spirit, whether you are looking for some classroom training or just need to stock up on quilt and knitting supplies.
The La Esquina Shopping complexLocated in the walking mall, Coas My Bookstore (317 N. Main) is one of the largest bookstores in the southwest. You might need a map as you navigate through their New Mexico history section on your way to the coffee shop in back.
The Big Picture (311 N. Main) specializes in large photographs printed on canvas, with beautiful views of the Organ Mountains and the landscape of the Chihuahuan Desert. Flo Hosa Doughtery displays her works at the quaint Blue Gate Fine Art Gallery (311 N. Main).
